DO I QUALIFY FOR ERAP?

  1. Yes, if you rent on or off the Navajo Nation.

  2. Yes, if you are an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation.

  3. Yes, if you rent on the Navajo Nation and an enrolled member of another Indian Tribe.

  4. Yes, if you have a rental lease or rental agreement.

  5. Yes, if your annual household income is at or below 80% Area Median Income.

  6. Yes, if you are unemployed and/or receiving unemployment benefits.

  7. Yes, if, as a result of the COVID 19, you have experience financial hardship, incurred significant costs or experienced reduction of household income.

  8. Yes, if you can demonstrate the risk of becoming homeless, by providing past due utility, rent notice or eviction notice.

  9. Yes, if you have not received assistance from another tribe, state, local government or TDHE.

  10. Other eligibility factors can be determined with appropriate supporting documents.

WHAT DOES THE ASSISTANCE COVER?

  1. Rental Assistance

  2. Utility Assistance, gas, electricity, water, sewer, trash.

  3. Other expenses related to housing costs.

WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED?

  1. Tribal enrollment document; and

  2. Income verification (i.e. lay-off notice, paystubs, unemployment benefit award letter, employment notice); and

  3. Income tax return for 2020.

  4. Lease or Rental Agreement.

  5. Utility Invoices. (bills)

  6. Eviction Notice.
